Definitely had me playing for a while trying to get the highscore but you unfortunately have bugs. I can confirm the same bug Riven just posted, and I believe it occurs because you give yourself a deadlock, which if you recall you programmed to kill yourself. So at this point you could either let the person slide out either path or call this thing a "feature" and say just don't do that Tongue

I also ran into several bugs where my line would not fill in after completing a box, as these two images show:

I also noticed that if you're going towards one of those "sliders" that go along the walls, and you try to trap him but end up just on top of him (if you hit him exactly instead of the wall behind him) you get past him and he doesn't die. Or at least this seemed to be the case. And there was one other bug which occurred which I can't remember right now, but it killed me somehow, I think like I died when some other guy touched a wall I had already built, but there were some other weird glitches slightly prior to that. I got this and the error from the 2nd image I posted both in one game which killed what I thought was finally going to be a good highscore. :\

About the above:

Imagine the 'slider' is moving down, and you are moving up:
you can cross eachother, without a hit.

Woah you're right. In fact you can go back and forth over top of them repeatedly as long as you don't stop moving when it touches you. o_O

Oh and while I'm on the subject of the enemies, am I the only one that gets hit more often sitting on a wall than drawing actual lines? In the later levels they seem really really good at tracking me down there; I'm guessing you "weigh" the probability so they fly towards your guy. And if I put myself in a corner, which I thought would be fairly safe, I seem especially prone to being hit. I barely ever get hit while tracing a path, just before and afterwards. Curious if this is typical or not.

Yeah the ability to track your player is increased every level (for yellow ennemies), so in higher levels, you have to move always if you don't want to be touched.

Thanks for the new feedback, i'm going to work on it tomorrow !!

Did you know there is a way to pause the game? Kiss

*exploits* (although that's not extremely useful anyway)

Updated !

I think all bugs have been fixed (but there's still a very small problem when moving on "stairs" of 1 pixel height, which isn't blocking anyway.

Tell me if you see other issues !

<bad luck>.
Two days ago, I've posted a link to digg, to see how the game would do there... : http://digg.com/playable_web_games/The_return_of_QIX_not_for_casual_gamers

...10 minutes after that, my server died (not related to digg, just bad luck), so nobody tried it Sad

...In the meantime, I also wanted to tell people here to support me and digg the link ... and JGO died Huh

</bad luck>

Some days are fun, some should be forgotten  Grin
