Hi all,

I'm trying desperately to find out what was said, released, documented...

... at the graphics sessions (most important of all, the one last friday that Gerard was hosting regarding Jogl on OS X) at the WWDC last week.

here's the link:  http://developer.apple.com/wwdc/descriptions/index.html#218

Cheers,

ribot.

gerard was not there. he got a baby two days before Smiley
instead, kenneth took his part. he showed mainly a port of quake 2 (jake2) running on jogl. so there was nothing special about jogl itself. it was more about java and graphics in general and how to optimize the code by using shark and opengl profiler. and that the implementation was faster than before and that threading works better now. many poarts are true for DP3 already, so get it and try it. the exact contents are under non-disclosure anyway and you won't get lots of better information.
but i was happy to be there to get the difference between view-based and fullscreen contexts over to kenneth, so we might see some improvement at that in the future.

oh. Cheesy  Congratulations Gerard!!

good, good - do you know what Kenneth's todo list looks like with reference to jogl?  Where in line is the true fullscreen capability (hopes that it's somewhere near the front)?

Cheesy

My to-do list for JOGL is currently focused on finding and fixing bugs to make the implementation more stable.

We have many open issues that need resolution. If you or anyone else has time to contribute, please do. JOGL is a community effort.
