Samsungs come in varying degrees of slowness, ranging from pretty bad, to absolutely feckin awful.
The one exception to this is the D500.

As for remedies, it depends on the game.
In general, you need to reduce the number of drawImage calls.

There are numerous ways to achieve this.
For tile based games, you simply want to add in a tile buffer. (assuming you have enough free heap - something else most samsungs are quite short of)
