Hello.
When I was teenager I played simple 2D truck simulator on Schneider machine (something like Comodore C64). It was simple and very fun game. I would like to do game like that one.

Hello all.
I do not have much time to do what I really like (making java games Smiley), but there was some progress done.
See effects swww.picadorstudio.com
SantaClaus was totally rebuild and I think now works fine.
Trucker was improved and there is a task added.

Maybe it's just me but I think that 'r' is pretty inconvenient for the reverse... I mean it's realistic but from a gamer's point of view I think that using 's' for the reverse would "feel" better.

Anyways nice little game Wink

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

Than you for your comment.
I think in final version the controls will be slightly different, I would like to introduce mouse controls.
Now I'm working on map of city.
Trucker will get part in next Java4k competition, quiet lot of work before me to reduce some code:).
Wish me luck.

I had a similar experience but the game I played was called Juggernaut and that was on the Sinclair Spectrum. Brilliant game I thought then.  persecutioncomplex

I made a tribute to it for the 1995 java4k: Trucker 4K (So maybe go with another name for yours.)

Regarding you game, it looks quite promising, but I think the controls are a bit difficult to handle. Calm it down. More routes would also make it more entertaining.

r - reverse gear

r - restart

If restart worked it would be difficult to play the game  Wink

Also managed to crash bad enough or something, to get this

Color parameter outside of expected range: Green

Another cool "game" to get inspiration from:

Hello fellows
Finally the concept of my game crystallized, see the effects on picadorstudio.com.
The title of the game is TruckMaze.
The game was also submitted to java4k 2012 contest.
