Hi, I  have been here for quite a while but more as a looker than an active poster. I hope it will change with the production of my game, which is a game that I always wanted to play myself.  As a big fan of sci-fi I wanted to create something that is a tribute to all great sci-fi tv shows and movies of my childhood and adulthood like Alien, Star Trek, BSG, Babylon 5, Space: Above and Beyond, The Expanse, The Dark Matter and many others I failed to mention (I hate Star Wars though). Anyway, please stick with me till I make the final version.

Story
I should start with the story as it's as important as the very gameplay.
Actually I had come up with the story long before I started developing the game. It wasn't even a story for a game.
It presents the events around the invasion on Earth during Second Space War by ATU's rebelled forces against forces of KEMI.
It takes place in XXII century where Earth is divided commercially into two spheres:
ATU (which stands for Atlantic Trade Union) and KEMI (Asian Group of Commerce - KEMI is a bastarized form of a korean word GOMI,GOEMI or QOEMI which means a spider).
ATU embraces former western organisations - the EU and the USA, while KEMI represents almost the whole Asia with leading role of eastern Asians.
As a result of a trade dispute over space travel technology The First Space War breaks out. It lasts only a week and ends with a hostile buyout of the key corporations in ATU by KEMI which would in turn lead to KEMI's taking over of the whole Earth.
The military part of ATU rebels and carries out an invasion on Earth.
The game presents the fight between the military forces of ATU and KEMI through the Solar System as far as the Earth.

Description

The Collapse: Space Supremacy is a real time spaceship simulator with elements of a turn based strategy.
To finish the game you must complete 3 campaigns: The Belt (the outer limits of the Solar System), The Mars and The Earth.
Real time space battle is carried out in a 'one on one' mode in newtonian physics environment which makes the steering quite natural and difficult at the same time.
You must not only control the battle but also keep an eye on power, weapon, navigation and steering management.

Platform
Android (>4.0) for sure, possible Windows.

Features

3 independent campaigns.
Languages: English and Polish

Development
This is a one-man project. I used LibGdx and Box2D in Eclipse.
Started in June 2017.  I plan to finish it by the end of 2017.
So far I would say 70-80% of the game is done. Although the battle part is almost complete I not able to publish even a demo at this point as it too dependent on the other parts of the game.

Some weekly progress.

Here is a boot sequence of information service which will provide information during the game. As many can tell it resembles the boot sequence of the Mother main frame from Nostromo (Alien).

Also a specification of a spaceship - ATU destroyer class. I don't know if it ends up in the game as it grows too big to be honest.

Hi, here's another weekly update.

Below you can find a test of campaign choosing screen. Probably it will not change much in the near future.

Hi. Another busy week.

Here is a test of the main strategic window where movements of the spaceships are made.
