This is a fascinating job posting.

Its not likely you coudl hire me away as I'm quite happy in my current positionas the architect and lead enginer  on the Sun Game Server Project, but I am curious.

The listing says its development for a Massively Multiplayer Online Game.

The skills list however is 99% enterprise technologies which certainly would not apply to the vast majority of online game projects.

Can I ask what it is they are trying to really build?  About all I can imagine from that list is a billing and maybe stat-tracking infrastructure  but for that you would not really need game experience-- just a well defined service interface that the actual game server could utilize.

That, or its a back end for very slow-paced casual games.

Of course it would be most desirable for this company to find someone who meets all of these qualifications, but they are realistic about it.  If someone were to fall slightly short, I believe he/she would still be considered.
