Boom done, you've just added an indigo colored glass bottle to my game, that will now spawn in all trashcans randomly.

Will you add a method so that people can release "mod packs"? ie: a single file that other users can download, stick in their game directory, turn on/off in options menu. And when it loads up it will slot entries into what ever parts of the game that it needs to. having to directly edit a variety of individual files will make it difficult for people to share their modifications.

Oh yeah, I totally planned on doing that. But there's literally no framework at all for it done yet though, I was going to use a sort of Skyrim/MC system for it. Basically, you'd stick a zip file in the /mods/ folder, then in-game you'd select the mods you want to use and the order you want them to load.

This game looks so cool man.

Thanks Cheesy

I can't wait to start showing off actual completed maps, pretty much everything you guys have been seeing is half-completed test sections. Looking forward to starting in on some actual fully realized maps. Smiley

Been working mostly on graphics the past week, trying to put together the first-ever fully complete area on the map; The JGO Bar!

It's not quite done, still missing a ton of small details. But it's getting there! Wink

Actually that's already planned, when I asked Riven for permission to use the JGO logo in my game that was part of the master plan. Wink

hah! That'd be fun. Tongue

I already was planning on sneaking in a ton of "fan service" content from various groups/people/games. IE: a "The Burnt Pizza" pizza shop, an oddly-green "Creeper Motel" (Minecraft) or the "Cloud Tavern" (Final Fantasy 7). Each of these locations featuring something thats nearly a ripoff of their said theme.

Those are all off-the-cuff ideas though, I havent actually planned anything beyond the JGO bar. Tongue

Nah, your pixel art skills are great. The game looks like it came out in the 90s, and if the world is big enough I can see it bringing back nostalgia just by playing it. Amazing work so far, if you put as much work into the game play as you did into the graphics, it can be a very refreshing hit. I'll be keeping my eye out on this one Smiley

Got a random coding bug up my butt and worked on blood particles a little more last night, I sped up the processing speed, improved collision detection, and also made blood "pool" on the ground. So all around better.

I will probably release a updated version of the Blood Tech Demo down the road, using the new system. But for now, enjoy the gifs. Smiley

It looks somewhat unreal... I'm no blood-pool expert, but try making it darker where the blood pool is deeper and make it get darker with time Smiley

I did something similar to that originally actually, it just really chomped down on the resources. When I reattack the particle system I might try again. Tongue

The gifs don't do the colors justice though, it looks a lot more blood like in-game. Although I'll probably slow down the pooling-rate, looking at it now, it's a bit too fast for blood.

Sort of. Technically speaking I have entities/NPCs. But they have no actual AI or any kind of interactions yet. They just walk around and bump into walls. Wink

Thanks! I had a blast making them. I actually started a side project (I'll be posting when it's presentable), that I also use the same particle system in. Works great too. Smiley

I love the progress!

If you do include members in the game, make me a guy that gets shot. To death. With me dies the ultimate secret to fabulousness, and the game completely changes course from there, going to the main character trying to find a way to raise me from the dead. He will try many different methods, including Satanism and worshiping stuffed unicorns.

Thanks.
