The titles for the side bar showing the screenshots are the wrong way round. Featured shows showcase and vice vesa.

Is the sidebar optional? I'd prefer it to not show up (eg: when browsing @ work)

The sidebar is not optional.

If your browser supports it, you can write a few CSS rules to hide it.
