A marketplace section in JGO for jobbing graphic artists and musicians might be a good and more appropriate idea. The link does look weird under featured games.
Riven, could you edit some of your posts on this thread -they clearly imply the site was hacked?

The idea that an evil hacker and/or indie music composer would infiltrate JGO, only to inject a 160x100 px advertisement in the upper right corner was so far fetched that I expected anybody reading the thread would immediately realize that absolutely nothing happened. My 2nd reply that actually contained words to gravitate the message, was meant to be so obviously sarcastic, that I hoped it would resolve any remaining confusion. Editing the message for clearity would be like insisting that on the first page of a dictionary one must explain that the listed words are in alphabetical order.

Thought it was a hack as well too when I first saw it. I even took a couple of minutes navigating to the web-site in question.
The confusion arises because it's a non-game underneath "Featured Game".

He's really professional and a very nice guy to deal with, and the prices are very well "suited" to an indie developer. You should check how much other composers charge for a piece of music. For the quality of Cristian's music, he's actually being very kind to price it so low. @Riven: The "Featured Game" ad is simply chosen by you or should any action be made from the developr for you to put it there? |

um... maybe its just me but it seems like most of the posts here are pretty reasonable... the op was concerned, Riven responded that is was not a hack and was expected. The OP apologised for his misunderstanding and semi-alarmist post... most posts from that point on discussed peoples impression/confusion over it and the rest were tongue-in-cheek... Or were there posts that were deleted (so i never saw them) that Riven is upset about? |
