As you all know JGO relies on ads to pay the hosting bills. We use ad-networks for this, like Project Wonderful and Google Adsense. As you may remember the ads from Google Adsense were often inappropriate, so in the end I decided to let Adsense go, eventhough they brought in significantly more pennies/day than Project Wonderful could ever manage.

Having said that, JGO only allows ads categorized as 'safe for work'. Project Wonderful does check most ads, but sometimes an insidious advertiser will sneak in rather inappropriate content.

If you feel I should step in and block an ad, please make a screenshot of the ad and post it in this thread, and I'll take care of it ASAP.

Note: a convenient link to this topic has been added to the 'skyscraper ad' in the sidebar.

This is just a minor note, but right now the "Plugged Project" ad is for "Lose Weight Fast", whatever that is.

Not really a huge deal- but I sorta assumed that the "Plugged Project" space was for, well, projects of members? Unless princec is expanding his empire to include weight loss products, I doubt "Lose Weight Fast" is the next big Java game, haha.

I suppose I could solve the "problem" by just buying out the slot. Actually...

(Feel free to move this to the chit chat monster, since it's mostly off-topic and not a big deal, just thought I'd mention it)

That was the idea initially, but it tumbleweeded for long enough for me to replace it with an ad-box. The current rate is about ten cents per day.
