Hello guys , I'm new at this forum!

My name is Kasper and I'm from the netherlands Smiley.
I hope I've a good time here.
Sorry if my english isn't always correct, it's not my first language.

So I've coded alot for the game minecraft. I've made some mods and multiplayer mods but now I want to create my own game.
Only one problem: I've no idea where to start , I've never made a game before and I'm very new at this (gaming development).
So can someone pass me a link with noob friendly tutorials about how to make a game? Please keep in mind that I've 0.00% experience with gaming development.
That would be awesome! Cheesy

Thanks

LibGDX - http://code.google.com/p/libgdx/
 and google.

I'm fairly new as well but am picking it up pretty quickly with those two resources. This is also a great place. Just read, code, read, code, oh and read and code some more.

LibGDX is great as you can port it to many platforms including desktop and android.

Good luck!

No problem. I'm not sure how minecraft is, so I don't know how similar to java it is..But I would also recommend getting a good java book and reading through it first. It will definitely help.

LWJGL isn't a programming language.
I believe @Bassex96 was referring to how modding Minecraft translates to making your own game.

I know, but he asked for similarity to java...using lwjgl makes it further from full similarity with pure java.

True, but most people on this forum would start a flame war if I were to suggest that pure java was a good way to start for a beginner Roll Eyes

IMHO:
if you want be programmer – start from “C” make small text game or something like that,
then teach basics of Assembler,
and after that you ready programming on everything else Wink
take Java and do games =)

Else knowledge is:
Game Physics
Game AI
Programming multiplayer – Sockets
And Graphics Programming.
Etc..

They same for any language.
