  • Do you have a good understanding of J2EE and/or .NET?
  • Do you have a Green Card/US Citizenship? Or, do you own a company who has employees having H1B?
  • Can you report for work in Dallas/Chicago area within 2 weeks?

If so, please send me (or your employees') resume (ASCII or Word format) at jobs@shrisr.com with J2EE/.NET in the subject field.

Thank you

I think the issue is that:

1. the OP is obviously just trawling for CV's. Or, at least, is indistinguishable from that; jobs comes with job descriptions, not two buzzwords, but actual paragraphs of text.

I would probably steer clear of the OP because either they are just trawling (akin to people who collect email addresses and sell them to spammers - no, really, if your CV gets caught by them, you really can get turned down for jobs, simply because the employer got N copies of your CV even though you, personally, only sent one; there are seriously annoying legal issues that mean they will probably hate you if they get more than one copy of your CV), or...

...they are so inexperienced they have no idea that that's what this looks like, which doesn't bode well for the chances of them doing anything to justify their commission. Your salary is reduced to pay their commission, so...

2. There is, apparently, no link between the ad and games. This is clearly in violation of this forums charter. I'm sure most people wouldn't mind, *if* the poster explained why he'd chosen to go here (perhaps the job is nothing to do with games, but requires skills that are stereotyped to be possessed by games developers?). But as it stands, it looks like opportunistic spam.

Disclaimer: I don't care. I'm just pointing out what it looks like. If I were a moderator here, I'd PM the OP and encourage them to fix the above errors and then delete the post if not (best to get rid of spam if its really just spam). As it stands, I don't think it's going to get much positive response...

malloc will be first against the wall when the revolution comes...

Aye, there's the rub - most posts in this forum are single-shots from users who won't ever be back.  A PM won't make a blind bit of difference.

But more's the point: if people are interested in posts like the above, as this forum is so low-traffic a bit of spam probably won't hurt things.  Maybe we need to have a poll on the subject...
