BUT:
a) In Germany it is typical to list the skills your IDEAL candidate would have. Usually they expect you to have most of the skills, but not all.
b) The IT-Market in Germany is empty and everyone is looking for people.

Given the two above, try your luck!

The rest is the standard stuff you should know from other wanted ads. Rosetta or Google can help you translate.

Yes, probably. Some might offer some form of telecommuting but that is something really new here, so I would not bet on it.
Though living in Germany is actually quite nice. Wink

Hmm, nice offers. Though to much casual games stuff. I'll stick to my marketing related stuff here in Hamburg. The stress in such firms is way to high for a long term occupation. Thats just my opinion.

But living in Hamburg is great Wink

Maybe it would be worth a try...

Problem is Germany only has casual games.

Crytek being the exception.

There are some obscure exceptions like Piranha Bytes / Pluto 13, in Essen, makers of Gothic and Risen - but with like 12 developers, your not going in anytime soon.
Or EA Phenomic which is somewhere nobody wants to live.

in short: there is at best, 5 high budget games (PS3, 360) coming from germany at a time - but a big chance to get in such a team, let alone as someone important

That's why I'll leave Germany as soon as I'm ready.

I would not knock it. Unless you area already in the gaming industry, it helps to get your foot inside the door.

I think getting into any high budget game team will be very hard unless you have a proven track record.
The bigger the project, the harder to get in.

Yeah sure, but its obviously more likely in a place where there are much much more video game developer.
