Who is your daddy, and what does he do?

« on: 2004-04-16 11:46:57 »

Greetings! Exactly one class ago my Java programming course was graced by ChrisM, who recommended that all 12 or so of us young enthusiatic programmers come here and have a look around.

Look at it this way, when you're 18 years old and you only have a handful of people in your school who even consider playing non-sports video games, having a leader in the the field come and give a talk about how great video games are and how much the world of tomorrow will be dominated by them can be very... inspirational.

Anyway, this looks like a good site, and I'll have a little more of a look around. I'm going to head over to the open-source section... but nevermind. Now it looks like I should get back to work on English. So I'll talk later when I have a better concept of what this site is.

Anyway, thanks for coming, Chris.

If yo uare actually trying to get started fooling around prgramming Java games the "Newless Clubies" topic aught to be very interesting for you.  If you have specific interests in the other mreo specific topics though go ahead and read and post.  (If a question is too basic the guys may gently point you back at Newbies.)

Heh, his bad typing is part of the 'charm' of this forum; he gets all the letters in there (usually) but in the wrong order mixed with an extra whitespace or two.  We'd all be lost if his typing improved  Tongue

While speaking about Jeffs typing. Was someone typing for Jeff during the online-chat? I didn't spot any misspellings in the transscript.  Grin
