Girls are practically the biggest distraction ever. And I can't seem to get rid of them. Is there any tactics to this that aren't mean? Cuz, I'm 13, and I'm already sick of them, but they are so female that I can't seem to stop getting in trouble with them. I DONT GET IT!

Well,  telling them that you sit all day and night at the computer programming would have helped in my youth  Wink Don't know about nowadays...

But in my opinion,  just keep them comming - in the end,  trouble with girls is by far the most intresting trouble you can have.  Just try to don't take things too serious and personal when it doesn't work out.

Also stay true to yourself and do the things you love.

Good luck  Smiley

Shutting the door works, usually.

But it can't stop the screams.

Some people wish they had those problems.
And if you think it's a distraction now, just wait.

But really, I don't think I can say much without repeating cylab; don't let anything control you, you are your own person, as are they.

Not everyone is a programmer.

There are VERY few female programmers.

The majority of programmers don't work on games.

Thus, a female on this EXACT forum is pretty much a statistical impossibility.

People tend to debate my gender, at this point I am not even sure myself.

If I made you laugh, helped you at all, or did something cool, I only ask that you smash that appreciate button with your nose.

I have a great tactic, the outcome varies but there is a 50-50 chance you will get them to stay away from you for good.

Simple take it your tally whacker and plant it right on their forehead, you will either get done for sexual harassment and assigned a restraining order or she might like it, huge risk but big pay off.

This thread certainly isn't helping...

The majority of programmers don't work on games.

Thus, a female on this EXACT forum is pretty much a statistical impossibility.

Actually, the majority of the female programmers I've met have worked in gamedev.

We programmers use something that's called: Isolation technique.
Sorry, I just saw this quote is quite superfluous, it fills this thread:

This is where the isolation technique is based on:
As for my opinion, who needs girls when we have these!

This is a typical symptom of the isolation technique:
Just stop thinking about girls so much...

And this, is the final form:
Shutting the door works, usually.

it is psychologically harder to punch a girl than a boy
but during last 2-3 years i punched on the streets 2 girls (not counting my ma)
these human beings traditionally have not deserved untouchable status based on a body difference
it's stupid and wrong
and don't tell me that they are more sensitive or weaker
i'm much more sensitive and in my school years i was even physically more fragile than almost any girl from my class
also many people think that if a man is narcissistic than he is a fag and for a girl it's ok
btw my favorite actress is scarlett johansson. before it was lady swallow godga
and for me cuteness > sexuality. and purity is cool

You use words if you can't get your message across non-verbally.
You use force if you can't get your message across verbally.
You use violence when you can't get your message across with force.

My weapon of choice is of the manipulitive kind, but the victim has to be willing to listen.

I was punched once, and boy did it hurt. For this reason, I remind myself daily not to punch either gender, and it feels great. You'll see that after a while people begin to notice.

Seriously though, I think we're not to judge said punches. Some people deserve one right in the kisser.

@Spacebeans You're not helping.  Stare

It's pretty hard to find any decent data, but according to Forbes, it appears that (in LA in 2011 - 2012) that women make up ~11% of developers.

Are you new to the ChitChat monster or something?

Is this the chitchat monster?
