Hi to all, i'm wondering about a 3d car top view game, but i need some opinions XD I need a 3D game engine, possibli freeware and with no cost for license. Actually i?m using jmonkey, because i need physics and other little stuff, but i think is a mature project and i don't want to continue with this. Anybody have an alternative to suggest me?  Roll Eyes

It doesn't matter what you use if you get the job done.

Use the search bar. Or Google. Please.

The fact that LWJGL is on here makes me cringe a tiny bit seeing as it's a library, but this should help you.

When in doubt, the search engine is your best friend.

More like just an Opengl wrapper... which makes me cringe even more.

EDIT: Like ags1 pointed out, wouldn't mature projects be better in a way? They've had a long time to improve.

IIRC, LWJGL comes with a few different features which are some-what related to game development and not just graphics, hence the name 'Light-Weight Java Game Library.'

Could be wrong since I don't use OpenGL with Java. I'm a C guy. This is the part where everybody attacks me right?Oh No!!! At least I can 'C' the truth!Aw come o- *gets killed by you Java guys*

JOGL would fit your explanation a bit more though, and luckily I don't see it on the list. Smiley

But either way, it's silly to have LWJGL up there regardless.
