Looks very beautiful and professional. Congratulations.
All done with Java and Java2D? Impressive.

Unfortunately I can't check out your web page because I don't understand a single word, or rather: sign. :-)

Will there be an internationalized version one day, maybe?

Memento mori.

Both Wurm Online and Magicosm are pure java, afaik.
At least Wurm Online uses both linux and mysql on the server side.

First? Meh, I say! MEH!

But anyway, that's purdy. =D

now
we r testing the game on internet,we have invited about 700 to test this game ,now the everage online user is 100.

still we do have some problems
unstable under windows98 system,

this game is based on traditonal chinese cluture,
people for freedom for love for romance, venture in the world for r against others with wisdom and martial art.
some based on yingyang\wuxing etc ---chinese traditional philosophy,so its not easy for non-chinese to understand how to fight how to survive.
we dont have the ability to do an international edition.

yet i welcome anyone who knows chinese and have interest in this java mmorpg game.
u can contact me for a test account.

the below address is a scrrenshot collection
http://www.herogame.cn/com/screen.htm

we do have plan to do some cross cluture java game.

Wow Cheesy

Outstanding graphics. I'd never seen such a graphic-style in a game, but it fits perfectly.

Really awesome Smiley

Looking at those screen shots makes me sad, because it shows how bad the graphics in anything I have done is in comparison Sad

Yes, looks very beautiful.
The isometric graphics system looks a bit like other professional games of that genre (Age of Empires for example), but the chinese or asian touch of the Herogame's artwork looks better I think. The http://www.herogame.cn/Screen/0.jpg demonstrates this well IMHO.
(Btw Asian movies rule: they're simply the best, hehe :-)

you shouldn't forget that's the difference between professional graphics done by artists and the hobbiest work of most of us.

To Recce: How many people (roughly) work on your game? Fulltime or hobbiest? When will it be finished, approximately? What cost schema do you intend to use? If I may ask... ;-)

Nice. Hero right? From anicient china... Then again it wasn't so long ago.

"still we do have some problems

It would be problematic to do something with it. windoze 98 wasn't stable system.

It might be interesting to look at exception, or at what situations it happens. I hope it isn't damaged instalation of windoze 98.

I am very interested in the reasons for chosing java as the preferred platform for such a project.
