I have been aware of the JGO forum for a while and have found it very useful.

I felt you may be interested in a game we have written. It is coded in Java (1.5+), uses JOGL for OpenGL and JOAL for OpenAL (I am pleased with both).  We have just put Alpha 1 live.

There is a reasonably long video on the website and I have included a screenshot below.  Although the game has been a long time in the making, there's still a lot that we'd like to add to the gameplay, hence the Alpha 1 status.

Thank you for your kind comments. Our inspiration came from elsewhere rather than Minecraft and this will become apparent as we go forward. We did, in fact, start writing Everplanes before Minecraft! Smiley

Reminds me of Wurm  Cheesy Looks good

Piece of opinion, but I think you'll attract more player if you lower the price for the alpha. I mean, it is indie, and who knows where this is actually going to go, seeing as it's "only" alpha and you've been writing on it for more than a year.  Roll Eyes

I think he's going to get a lot more sales, with a slightly lesser price.

The 3d graphics looks quite nice, and I think it has potential to be something great. But like you wrote there is alot more to work on. I think more animations will make it look and feel even better, especially the fire and when creating something. Looking forward to see how it develops!

Thank you for all of your helpful comments. We will be starting our Blog over the next few days which will allow us to share our thoughts as the development of the game proceeds. The first post will cover a little background to our game engine and what we have tried to achieve.

Looks really nice! The website is also quite polished. From the descriptions, I do not get a clear idea about what the game has to offer though, maybe you could make a list of (intended) features?

Hi - Thank you. We have now put the Everplanes blog live. This gives more details of the game with some background information. We will be replacing the video on the next update and that will give a clearer idea of our plans.

Hi - We didn't wish to release too many details before the Beta 1 release on the 31st December. There is an element of RPG but very little of MC. Sorry to be vague, but all will be revealed!
