Hello people!

I've been looking for a new cellphone for some time now, one of the reasons is that my 3 year old sony ericsson is on it's last breath, the other reason is that i want to learn making apps for android. The problem is, i haven't been updated on the cellphone market for years since i haven't used my phone for anything particular. I've looked up a few models i believe would be good but since im no pro on cellphones i wanted to ask you guys if you know any good models for game development on.

The models im currently looking at is
Samsung Galaxy SII

Are these phones good or are they just fancy looking with horrible specs?

Thank you for the reply, i tried reading some reviews of that model and they were positive, but it's always good to know that devs appreciate it as well ^_^

Thanks for the suggestion, the Nexus S also seems to be manufactured by Samsung though.

My main idea when saying developer phone might have been somewhat lost in translation. Im not a native english speaker so allow me to explain what i meant ^_^

Imagine you wanted to develop a game on PC. Your rig is 5 years old and have outdated hardware. Sure you would be able to make a game out of that, that could run on most computers, but you wouldn't be able to add that little extra to it, like some awesome graphic effects or a couple of extra bots to the screen, due to your PC being too old.

Now, that PC isn't a PC, it's a cellphone. That's basically what i meant when i said developer phone ^_^

Also, the more powerful something is, the more you can play around with it

Hmm, i see, the Galaxy SII seems to be fairly popular though, but now im kinda unsure if they actually are gonna update it, if they lost interest in their Galaxy S model then im worried they might do the same with the SII. But the Galaxy SII specs looks so sweet :'D I've looked over some benchmark tests and reviews and it looks like it's one of the best phones out there. Still, i don't want to be ditched by Samsung and not receive any updates D:
