Hey,
Is there a website or something that can host applets for free? I tried google pages and yahoo geocities but they crash or do not load.
Alex.

Doesn't your ISP account come with some web space? Mine does, and they never even complained about high traffic (not even when my site attracted like 3000 visits a day). It did have some restrictions though (like not being able to set MIME types for JWS), but for applets it worked just fine.
I've used myjavaserver for a while and it works, but it was neither fast nor reliable. That was when it was still called mycgiserver so maybe things have improved.
The thing is, you generally can't expect much from free web space. It's either slow, too restricted, adds flash advertisement on your pages where you don't want them, or a combination of all drawbacks.
I'd recommend paying a little for some web space, it doesn't have to be expensive unless you're going to attract lots of traffic, in which case things like adsense can help cover the costs (or even make you some money).
I pay something like 70 euros for a year for 100MB space, I and get a domain name with it too + email and it does me just fine. It even supports server side java + JSP (with Tomcat), PHP and MySQL.
