Hi,

after the programming challenge ApoMario was over, I thought I have to appreciate the cheaterbot Icarus.
So I made ApoIcarus. The game was inspired by DoodleJump.
Your goal is to jump on the clouds, reach the sun and avoid the enemies.
Can you beat the online highscore and get all achievements?
I'd appreciate any feedback. =)

Maybe it started a bit quickly, it would be nice to add a countdown from 3 or a cloud underneath you so you know which direction to steer towards in the start

Other than that, nice game

Off-topic: The name reminded me of an old NES game called Icarus, ended up watching youtube movies of old NES classics for an hour :-D

A new version with a new nice looking sprite for icarus is online.

How do I found the sprites for the enemies or icarus? I search with google "icarus sprite" then I found some nice sites and paintings. After that I use photoshop to edit the pics (change size, change color, change legposition, add wings, add gloweffect etc).
The spring sprite is from SuperMario.

The idea with the countdown will I implement in the next version.

But monsters from Halo? I didn't play halo but like i say all my images I found with "icarus sprite". Ok perhaps I will remove some enemy sprites.

More power-ups? What boots would you prefer?
my ideas:
- invulnerable for a short time?
- automatic arrow shooter for a short time?
- add more points?
- ...?
