Hi!

I can no more use the debug mode, Maven and ANT in Eclipse because of this bug:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=305754

Does someone know a workaround? Could you at least vote for this? I think that I will use ANT in command line until it is fixed.

As you state it effects both Ant & the debugger, my guesses would be:
a) It's a local connectivity issue caused by a firewall or other such security program restricting socket connections.
b) It's a genuine bug caused by Eclipse being installed into an unconventional location.

I have no firewall but I will check what is wrong with the sockets.

b) It's a genuine bug caused by Eclipse being installed into an unconventional location.
I installed it somewhere in my home directory.

I have just solved my problem by modifying my installation of Mandriva Linux 2010 so that it activates the network at startup and now it works.
