Hello all,

I've got an idea in my head for what I think might make a fun applet-based game, but it's been a long, long time since I've been in the java programming loop.  I'd like to avoid recreating as many wheels as possible, so I could really use the recommendations of a community such as this.

Basically, it would be a 2D, turn based strategy game.  So, mostly sprite animation and the like would be needed.  I'd want it to run in a browser, so people could sneak play during work and stuff.

Can anybody recommend me some libraries that I should look at to begin with?  I just honestly have no idea what's out there.
