Like many others (I hope) I often enjoy looking at avatars that people have spent some time and/or thought on creating or selecting for their JGO forum persona. I'm curious, what are some of the favorite avatars of peeps around here?
For simplicity's sake, let's limit it to avatars currently in use by people here on JGO - or thread jack my post, whatever!

I like Onyx's, its got alot of style. Heh. Its some fad leftover thingy from pixelation. There is that (insanely) talented guy called sals and he mad that "I hate sals" thingy... and everyone made an edit of it. At the end there were about 50 different versions and that one with the silly chainsaw was mine. It was done with AA against some blue-ish bg... so I had to modify it a bit to look ok-ish on other bgs. I also added that "wasteful" dropshadow since I was already using full alpha png. Well, thats the whole story. I still really like pixelart, but I'm too bad at it (and too slow). The avatars I liked here were Chris' space ghost avatars and your "evil" ones, you used in the past. What I like about Markus_Persson's avatar is the clean look and the surprisingly small size. edit: oh and matzon, you've been photographed by some paparazzi... http://kaioa.com/k/matzon.jpg |

Someone I know showed me an email, it had darkprophet's avatar in it only bigger along with the message "Sometimes you just have one of those days where..." PS. Right after I wrote this two of my favorite avatars got changed! Sideshow Bob and the machine-gun cat! Where did they go?  |

Avatars change, the one DP was referring to was a airbrushed eye - the dog with the gun is reasonably recent. (assuming it's a dog of course)

I thought DP's was some sort of bunny, but either way it's supposed to be cuddly. I recently came across someone else using it as their avatar on a linux board.

Sorry...I was going from memory.  When I'm browsing these forums from work I actually durn off graphics in FireFox. and tuck the browser onto my second screen with a bunch of other clutter. Then when The Man walks by, it's less obvious... I just looked at it again and yep...it's a cat. |

Thtat's unfair since you're one of the lucky people who was able to get a Wii and therefore produce a Mii Just as a side note, yesterday I checked all the electronic stores online (in Montreal) and no one had a Wii in stock. This piece of joy is incredibly popular or Nintendo is not good enough at manufacturing. |
