Very nice new graphical features! We await the release of the new version! If you need any OS X testers I'd be happy to help in that department!

The client with those features are already out. =D You need to type weather.showConsole() in the wurm console (f1) to be able to play around with the weather, though And, YES, mac testing would be very appreciated. =) Just write down any snags you find in an email to me, and I'll add to my massive todo list.

Hey all, I've got the game running at an acceptable frame rate. But there's a problem My Dad downloaded new drivers for the gfx card thinking he was doing something good and then F****D up the display and the monitor wouldn't load through the gfx card. That's all fixed (Phew) BUT when I went to play Wurm a message came up and said "nVidia Driver Open GL , Driver components mismatch, Exit is the only option" Please I'm desperate to play this brilliant game and any help would be mucho appreciato'd Cheers, Hauk P.S I'm spreading the word about the game around my school, and our school just got a new computer lab, so theere'll be a lot more players now.

Can't say I've ever heard about that error before.. Where did it show up? In a popup? In the logs?
The only thing I can suggest is to uninstall all the drivers and reinstall them from scratch.

As soon as I hit the "play" button when I'm joining the game as a guest. The window pops up and the message is shown. It's quite annoying really. sure I'll see what I can do. Cheers, Hauk

We had plenty of backups, so nothing was lost. The reason this one is taking time to fix is that we're switching hosts. =)

My 1.5 year old Intel drivers ran the game, but then I upgrade to drivers that were up to date within the month, and WO no longer works. I tried the drivers one step below them, and it still won't work. People on your forums told me my card couldn't handle Wurm, but with the old drivers it could. Do you think Wurm will ever have better support for the Intel Extreme Graphics chipset?

daniel that's supposed to happen. It's just the red x icon that's scary, not the message You're supposed to get a box after that to select a new directory like it says. Do you get that box?

Malohkan: There are some extensions wurm requires that I could code my way around to support more hardware. It's a tad much work, though. =/ (Yes, I'm lazy. ) daniel131313: So you get that error every time you select a directory for wurm?

well, that depends on your definition of "purely".
All the code we've written is in java, with some php for the webpage. The client uses jogl for the opengl bindings, and I'm not sure if that counts as pure java or not.

Dunno what I've done wrong, probably drivers. But this update looks , ahem, "very colorful" on my ati x850 with newest official catalyst drivers?

uhm, yeah. If the glsl program fails to compile (but the extensions are found), wurm kinda ends up in a strange state. I'll fix. =)

I think that's fixed now. I hope. Maybe.
My ATI computer has some weird linux on it atm, so I can't test it myself.

PBuffer inited ---------------- Link warnings for /programs/water.vertex.shader + /programs/water.fragment.shader ---------------- Link successful. The GLSL vertex shader will run in hardware. The GLSL fragment shader will run in hardware. ----------------
edit: no reflections btw

That "warning" thing is outputted by wurm (I assumed that any output would be a warning, but I was wrong).
That "Link successful" is outputted by the ATI drivers. It's either a bit fat lie, or there's some weeeird bug in my shader.

Not sure.. what's.. .. wrong. Yep, ATI's GLSL implementation is... wrong. It has been a year since we moved Marathon to GLSL and not only it has never worked 100% bug-free on ATI cards, it actually seems to be getting worse with each Catalyst release. They're supposed to have been working on it all this time, fixing bugs (I have personally reported ~6), but no apparent progress has been made (at least on what we need). The most critical bug (and our major showstopper) was fixed just last week, which means we'll get it in an official driver in two months (minimum). Patience, still. Edit: Cool water btw

Ok, so there's some confirmation. Thanks. =)
I'll add an option for turning off GLSL in the meantime then.
