Blender is a free modeler / texturer / animator / render / gameengine / postproduction package.

http://www.blender.org/

http://www.blender3d.org/cms/Blender_2_33.66.0.html

If you want to know more about Blender check the documentation and tutorials (dont include the game engine, see the change log for that):

Blender can be scripted in python and i was thinking that it would be very easy to do an importer/exporter for whatever format your favorite game requires that would include animations tracks, textures and everything.

Another thing you guys can do with this babe is to create great procedural textures (any size) with Voronoi and Musgrave shaders.

http://www.blender3d.org/cms/Proced...ures.272.0.html

Or even loaded your own textures into Blender and apply cool texture layers on it then save it back again.

Yes, you guys are right its 2.33 and some links are broken or they can only be accessed from the blender site:

http://www.blender.org

This is a great oppurtiny for the Java community to have a great 3d and FREE modleler for our games. Now the only thing that i need is a decent loader for vrml or some other cool text 3d format that can import textures and animation tracks to use with jogl. Maybe ill do one some time. Wink
