Blender is a free modeler / texturer / animator / render / gameengine / postproduction package.

http://www.blender.org/modules.php?...tion&file=indexBlender can be scripted in python and i was thinking that it would be very easy to do an importer/exporter for whatever format your favorite game requires that would include animations tracks, textures and everything.
Another thing you guys can do with this babe is to create great procedural textures (any size) with Voronoi and Musgrave shaders.
http://www.blender3d.org/cms/Proced...ures.272.0.htmlOr even loaded your own textures into Blender and apply cool texture layers on it then save it back again.
