Can someone of the officials tell me whether this bugfix will be backported to 1.5.x ?

Not unless there's a compelling case (or an escalation, which makes it compelling very quickly).

This bug was fixed as part of another larger fix, so even technically it'd be
hard (update releases' teams tend not to like large fixes, since they're risky).
