What for?  They effectively have the same situation today, only *Sun* is the standard's body.  The advantage there is that they are hopefully less likely to influenced by Microsoft's bullying tactics.  They MUST keep their ability to overrule, or like with everything else, Microsoft can just buy the votes of the other members to get it's way.  (I suspect that has already happened several times with the W3C.)

Do they have actual examples of Sun using it's veto power at the detriment of the community?  I want to see the proof that Sun is being the evil dictator here before I give any weight to IBM's whining.

How is this article called "What's wrong with Java?"?
There is like 4 paragraphs about Java on the first page only...

The guy put up that title just because it's inflammatory and made me read it! hehehe
