Is javagaming going to be anything else besides a forum?

Didnt it used to be like gamedev.net, except for java?

Yeah typo, java-gaming.org used to like gamedev.net, with articles and such. Have you checked the topic "Articles you'd like to see" in the Suggestions forum? Apparently, the administrators are just starting to get some ideas together.
