hi all

can any one plz tell me wy the games are running very slw on the samsung deives? and is there any solutions to improve the speed? i ll b very thnkfull if anyone cud give me the solution.. its very urgent...

i m porting the games frm S40 nokia to samsung E700/710 etc...

thnx in advance...

Samsungs come in varying degrees of slowness, ranging from pretty bad, to absolutely feckin awful.
The one exception to this is the D500.

As for remedies, it depends on the game.
In general, you need to reduce the number of drawImage calls.

There are numerous ways to achieve this.
For tile based games, you simply want to add in a tile buffer. (assuming you have enough free heap - something else most samsungs are quite short of)

thnx for ur reply...

but still i m porting the action games on the samsung device which needs the many drawImage calls... can anyone plz tell me hw to reduce such calls? ( i m having the basic knwledge of J2ME, so not aware of tips n various tricks) plz it ll b very greatfull...

n i m not using the tilebased game for porting...

thnx in advance waiting for ur reply...
