If I have an existing file, how can I append to it. Currently I know how to create a new one and copy from the old rto the new, but how can I append more information to an existing file?

Open an RandomAccessFile / InputStream, off the top of me head. Just spend more time looking at the different classes in java.io.* and you'll find the magic you need. Eventually Smiley.

malloc will be first against the wall when the revolution comes...
