interesting to see that 'cause I've been listening to a lot of Steve Vai/Joe Satriani/Frank Zappa recently....

for(int i = 1; i > 0; i++)
{
System.out.println(i+" cups of java downed");
}

I didn't even notice the reply to my post so long ago.

Eh, I'm not all that old - only 25 yrs. I was probably 10 years old when a lot of thos bands were at their height. I just like the old stuff.

'Course I do listen to newer things, I just tend to be more skeptical of things which haven't been subject to the test of time, you might say.

Newer stuff...
Nelly Furtado
Goldfrapp
Modest Mouse has piqued my interest

And yes, I did follow Bruce Dickinson's solo career. You might say Maiden is  my favorite band, I suppose. I have followed the careers of many of the band member's other work, e.g.:
Blaze Bailey has a band now called "Blaze" - really good stuff
http://www.planetblaze.com

Adrian Smith used to have a band called "Psycho Motel" - I've got their stuff
Bruce used to be in a band called "Samson" I've got most of their stuff. I've also got this great version of the song "Elected" with Bruce Dickinson and Mr. Bean. Quite funny.

(here comes a shameless plug)
In addition to their summer Europe tour, Maiden are playing several of the shows of the US Ozzfest tour this summer - so I'm looking forward to seeing Maiden, Ozzy and Black Sabbath all in the same concert.

I'm considering going to the San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Phoenix shows myself - so if there are any Maiden fans here in those cities that are planning on going to any of those concerts, send me an IM, and we'll hookup.
