I assume you've been using something like MyJavaServer.com
(formerly MyCGIServer) and have run into these problems? Just an FYI, MyJavaServer might be willing to up your quota if you can explain what you need the space for. Worst case, ask the same question on JavaLobby's
front page and you'll get Rick Ross's attention.
Other options are:
1. Host the site on your own personal hardware and DSL line. This is a good solution if you've got a little extra hardware (e.g. an old Pentium) and fairly low traffic.
2. Just pay for a service like Lunarpages
. If your stuff is important enough, you can probably afford the $8 a month it costs.
3. Beg someone to give you some web space on their hardware. I know Blah does that quite often. I myself do it on occasion for data I think is worthy. What exactly are you planning to host?
