Hi all,
i m a new member in this community. Actually i m working in j2ee applications right now and hav equal interest in gaming. I am very much comfortable with java. Can u tell me what all i shud know or what shud be my learning path so as to get into game programming.

Hi!

Welcome! Maybe the best way to get on track is to study example games, read the source, modify ....

The field of games development is huge. The 'purest' game development those days might be with casual games. If you like that, try to make a centipede. It has all elements of games coding.

Are the AlienFlux sources still available? They are excellent!

If are more interested in technical things like 3D, networking and such, maybe even FlyingGuns offers a field to work on and play with.
