What is JavaGL

You have three options when dealing with OpenGL for java:
LWJGL - http://java-game-lib.sourceforge.net/
GL4Java - http://www.jausoft.com/gl4java.html
Java 3D -  http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/3D/download.html

each has its own advantages - generally you'll want Java 3D for generic 3D applications - and LWJGL for games (both *can* be used for both games and applications).

GL4Java I really don't know much about, but I would personally not choose it, due to its lack of updates.
