Alien Flux
Super Elvis (WIP)

Well, there isn't a demo yet just a work in progress thingy, but that's already pretty much the thing you'll get (+/- some changes heh).

21 levels still to go! All the demo levels are done now, less a little tuning. Just the edges to work on.

Still toying with ditching AWT again but I'd have to write all that dratted GUI code for dropdowns and checkboxes and text edity wotsits (the previous stuff is too awkward to extricate). And I need a JPEG decompressor.

Well I just played Super Elvis for the first time, and all I can say is WOW!!!!

Well done Cas, this reminds me of a game called Llamatron in so many ways. It plays well, the interface is nice and clean, it's fast and furious fun.

I will definately be purchasing this when it's available.

Keep up the good work!

Andy.

Generally, the following page is a good place to start when looking for games that uses LWJGL:

It's less like Llamatron and more like Ancipital, methinks.

I was having a chat with Chaz, Charlotte and Brendan (the rest of Puppygames) and we're really, really thinking about doing "Puppytron" next...

I'd not seen Ancipital before, I googled for some screenshots and you're right Super Elvis does look similar.

"Puppytron" would be great...you should send the links to Jeff Minter I'm sure he'd be pleased to see how stuff he wrote 15yrs ago is still infuencing game design today.

I can see a PuppyGames power pack coming soon, get all 3 games for the one low price of $30!

Keep up the great work.

Andy.

Based on Robotron, I was tinkering with BaldoTron, a bold guy is the player and he shoots things at bad guys:

long hair hippy
sensitive pony tail guy
prissy girl
hair transplant surgeon, etc...

lol

Looking forward to Puppytron

"Your version of Alien Flux is over 2 months old"

Hmmm... well, that's a pretty odd message if you just downloaded it Wink

AF is so badly out of sync with LWJGL that I haven't been able to upload a build of it lately Wink
