Hi,

I finally got JOAL working and I'm playing a bit with it now. I'd like to use JOAL to create the sound for a 3d animation I'm creating. It's a prerendered animation, not a real-time one, so I need the stereo sound generated by JOAL to be saved in a wav file rather than being played back immediately. Is that possible?

Although I've gotten JOAL to play back sound effects the way I want it to, I'm still not very competent in its inner workings, so a simple explanation is preferred, perhaps even with example code, but I understand if it's too much to ask for.

Anyway, I'm really excited about the things that JOAL offer (the dobbler effect is impressive in particular) so I really hope there's a solution.

Best regards,
Rune

Not directly possible, no. This moves into the realms of OpenML.

You might well be able to simply set up sound recording on your PC to record direct from the card. I did this once whilst listening to www.weenradio.com. Unfortunately it recorded my fingers tapping on the keyboard, my fan coming on, and me coughing, because I forgot to turn off the laptop mike.
