Giving Java a second chance after ludumdare fiasco

These guys used the java processor (jem?) in a gameboy advance cartridge to run java.  This article is from last year.

I know its not the progress everyone would LIKE to see with consoles but does it give anyone ideas?  Like what can you do with those (ubiquetous) memory card ports anyway?   Or, j2me on ps2 with lwjgl support?  Just throwing stuff our here.
