There's too much blood in my caffeine system.

« Posted 2004-07-12 02:59:35 »

So I've copied all the necessary libraries over to ~/Library/Java/Extensions/ and try to run some sample code provided on the Xith3D website.

The program compiles fine:
javac org/xith3d/gsg/

But when I try to run it:
java org.xith3d.gsg.SwingDemo

I get the following error message:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/java/games/jogl/GLEventListener
        at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass0(Native Method)
        at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(
        at Method)
        at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(
        at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(
        at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(
        at com.xith3d.render.jogl.RenderPeerImpl.makeCanvas(
        at com.xith3d.render.jogl.RenderPeerImpl.makeCanvas(
        at com.xith3d.render.jogl.RenderPeerImpl.makeCanvas(
        at org.xith3d.gsg.SwingDemo.<init>(
        at org.xith3d.gsg.SwingDemo.main(

This happens for every program I try to run.  xith3d.jar is already in my ~/Lib/Java/Extensions folder so that's why I don't use the -cp argument.

Any help solving this problem would be much appreciated.

update your version of JOGL Smiley

Thanks! I thought that I already had it though but I went to their site again and this time downloaded all the libraries there, including jogl-demos.jar and jogl-demos-data.jar and jogl-demos-util.jar.  It works great now Smiley
