Ok, ok, great ideas Smiley

E3...hmmmmm.....I have served on the E3 faculty for the past 3 years (as a speaker).  Perhaps I can swing somethign with this.  Again no promises.

Just to clarify things:

1) I have not dropped the ball on the contest, just finished a Sun event and am preparing for GDC.  This next week will be HELL for me BTW.  (The good kind: overworked/drinking)

2) I have a Sun guy hunting down some prizes for me

3) Will post contest stuff to a separate forum after GDC.

Thanks!

Hey Chris, any word?   This contest sounds like a lot of fun, I'd hate for it to get delayed indefintely waiting for some cool prizes.  It sounds like the group had pretty much sorted out some good rules for the contest - why don't we just officially start it?

Game on!

I agree, we should have an official start date, perhaps April 1st, and run the contest for 1 month. There is nothing like a deadline to focus the mind.

Andy.

Sure, I'd go along with that.  Seeing as one of the other rules mentioned above is that the source code has to be released in an Open or Free licence, we'd all get to find out what makes XAP/AF tick! Grin

56% of A.F. is open source already!

And I've explained a large amount of it in the diary!

And indeed... I shall be passing on as many pearls of wisdom as I can in these forums. Once Chris puts up an Articles section. And, er, a Showcase section Cool It's time I started to put some serious effort into marketing I think.

edit: Actually, as I'm committed to open source already, once A.F. has run its lifespan I will be releasing the full source code. But don't expect it in the next couple of years Smiley
