Monkey for a head

« Posted 2004-06-12 14:29:37 »

For quite some time now I've been using a windowed LWJGL display and a couple of floating, separate Swing windows for Quix's level editor. Besides some focus oddness its been working fine.

However I've just tried using it for the first time in a while and it appears to be horribly broken. Shocked None of the code has changed, except I'm using an up to date LWJGL build (as of a couple of weeks ago). It seems that the Swing windows don't play nice, as as soon as both sets of windows are displayed, my entire desktop gets a black and white chessboard over it, leaving only the actual OpenGL client area and the Swing client areas (no window title etc.). Removing all swing stuff so only the LWJGL display is created works fine.

JRE version may also have changed since it worked last, I'm currently on 1.4.2_03. Anyone else have this weirdness?

jME uses LWJGL 0.9, and we have a particle editor thing with swing frames, and the app works perfectly.
