I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish, but if you just want to have midlets running on your standard Java distribution on the mac it should be relatively easy using ME4SE.

As the name suggests this allows you to run J2ME programs on any J2SE distribution. It consists of one major jar and a few helper jars. It can be gotten from www.me4se.org.

I've used it on both my Windows machine as well as a PDA, so a Mac should work fine too given that their JRE implementation is not too bad.

Sorry, that was the end of a long and frustrating day where nothing went right....

I was just bemoaning the fact that Sun and Apple between them haven't sorted the WTK on OSX, so I can do everything I need to on my Mac *but* develop J2ME games, hence earn a living....

I know of some sort of bodge for WTK1, but there's no support for 2.0 at all.

I think it'll probably all get resolved once Sun make Java open source at long last Smiley

I never did understand why the WTK was compiled to native, seems abit hypocritical to me.
