Java games rock!

I would like something that's freeware/open source.

I'm currently using Poseidon 2.2.1 Community Edition. It's a great tool but I wander if there may be something better out there?

Here's a nice list (esp. nice if you are using NetBeans): http://www.netbeans.org/catalogue/13-all.html
Not all of the listed items are freeware though.

This one's pretty good: http://www.visual-paradigm.com/download.php. It has a stand-alone version but also integrates with Visual Studio, Eclipse, JBuilder, NetBeans, and IntelliJ IDEA. Also, there is a free Community Edition.
Don't know if it's better than Poseidon though.

Enjoy.

I can say that latest JBuilder Enterprise Studio 7 (JBuilderX + Together) is quite nice. Enterprise Studio 6 really *sucked*, but the new release is nicely integrated!

Not truely OpenSource though....

Off-topic:
Not even Sun is open-source...I've heard they're even going to make Sun Java Studio Creator non-free...

just a thought.

Enjoy.

You cannot reply to this message, because it is very, very old.

Add your game by posting it in the WIP section,
or publish it in Showcase.
