Game Idea

Our game was inspired by Mario bros in the early years mixed with a love of the adorable little creatures known as penguins. We plan on making our game fun for all ages and all gaming level experience. We want it to be not only fun but also educational, and so we will be basing things such as the landscape, boss', eggs, etc., from the lifestyle of each penguin but there will be some of our own ideas added in as well. At the beginning you will be an emperor penguin but we will be adding in new worlds, which will be based off of different species.

Your number one goal in the game is to collect an egg and place it in your nest at the end of the level. There will be 3 levels per world, and once you place your third egg a “boss” will appear, steal all of them and you will have to battle him to get your eggs back. You will encounter enemies and landscape obstacles throughout the game which will make keeping your egg safe a challenge. You will have your own defences such as jumping, wing slapping, belly sliding and eventually others. You will start with 3 lives, and 3 hearts (hits) with the chance throughout to gain more. With one hit you will lose one heart and if you have the egg you will lose it as well, and will need to go back to retrieve it again. When all three hearts are gone you lose one life and start back at the beginning of the level, once all lives are lost you begin back at the beginning of the world.

We are still working out some of the details but will have more information posted before we start with beta testing. We are still aiming to have the first world completed, so testing can begin.
