Much better, still needs some tweaking, the emitter looks a little too circular but i think if you lower the duration of the particles it would help a lot.

Yeah I can easily adjust randomness/shape of the emission point, I also plan on having the particles fade in a little bit, just to reduce the 'pop' of them showing up a bit.

Here is my submission, a Top Down Shooter with a Shyamalan Twist... I just posted it in the Showcase: http://www.java-gaming.org/topics/a-top-down-shooter-with-a-shyamalan-twist/35263/view.html

Download the game here: https://dl.orangedox.com/SOvlycXOGcDLmysukB/TopDownShooter.jar

Shoot cars driving with their tops down to earn points, or let them get away to loose points.  A floating Shyamalan is known to pass through the desert sky every 10 seconds.

This game took me many minutes of planning and hard work.

Don't shoot cars with their top up or else...

You might want to redraw that, it currently looks like the player has a large silver penis.

Ah, okay, I'm poor in movies and stuff, it was a Tamil name. I guessed Malayalam because usually their names end with an 'n'.

My 3D model loader is stuck at texturing. I'm doing something wrong with the texture coordinates and I need to duplicate at least some of the verteces. Maybe I will have something ready for next year's jam.

Maybe we should bring this back for the last bit of this month, meaning it'd finish 6 months after the previous one?
Either I'm imagining things, or theres been a really low amount of games posted on the forums recently. Most WIDT posts are theagentd's lovely journal things (not that these aren't lovely, but more variety would always be welcome).

My suggestion:

Theme: Puzzle platformer (If you have another idea, go for it)
Time Frame: Be done prior to the end of the month

I'd be willing to give away some of my spare steam keys to whomever manages to finish a game.

It would be really cool if it had a single topic for this kind of thing, creating games for fun with some competitiveness for 3-6-12 months (probably without awards), only for members from this forum.

I'd really like to participate, however I do believe that it might be more appropriate to have a single theme with an open interpretation like ludumdare.

However I think I'll be joining in. Have been feeling very unproductive lately.
