The voting will last until 06.03.2004. The results will be hidden until then, because existing results may change the user's opionion. Users can vote for multiple logos. If you are not happy with the voting please complain. :-)
@moderator: Probably it's better to make this thread sticky until the poll has closed.

The voting will last until 06.03.2004. Voting until June 3rd.. that's a bit long. Or did you mean 2004.03.06 (ISO 8601 dates are so less ambiguous)

Yes, in many European countries you typically say: Day, Month, Year. So in fact the reverse of the ISO blabla thing.
Any time I've a look at my Japanese watch I've to turn around my brain, because it says: Month, day, year. Like many of you people in America say. Is this the reverse of any ISO thing, too? ;-)

Sorry, I meant "day.month.year". Three weeks are enough time to cast a vote.

How about a mascott as well? I was lurking around the ogre3d site late last night and it hit me how cool it'd be to have our own 3D/2D model like the ogre's head How about the Java duke

How about a mascott as well? Would be great. In fact, I already spoke to my designers some time ago about this, but I am not sure if they did something. Yuri

Doh.. if we are going to have a mascot too then may change the way we would have voted for a logo. Since some logos are more "mascot friendly" (hint hint)

if we are going to have a mascot too then may change the way we would have voted for a logo. Then we probably have to restart the whole process of submitting logos etc., which is for me is not very good idea... Yuri

lets just vote now I think, worry about a mascott later. In fact is there much reason the poll needs to stay open for another week?

Now, that there is some discussion about a new design of xith.org I'll close the poll instead of waiting another week. The winner with more than 50% of all votes is JProof #7. It is now the official logo of Xith3D: Thanks to everyone who contributed ideas and logos. Special thanks to Kev, who had the great idea that Xith3D should have an own logo.

I would love to see an animated version of the logo that looks sort of like a spinning coin settling if you know what I mean... rolling around on it's edge in one spot, with the shadow and everything would look cool.

Good choice of the logo!
Yes, a small, animated version would be nice and helpful to integrate into webpages and such.

Heh, like the 3Dfx logo that would spin round when you started a 3Dfx app? That would be very cool. Build it into Xith as a function somehow Quite a majority vote it seems, my favorite as well.
