my game will work, my game will work!

I just bought a 19inch LCD with 600:1 ratio, 16 millions colors, DVI, and 1280*1024 max res.

Fired up a few games and ..whoa! blurrrrrryyyy!  Sitting still and the image is great!  Start moving and you lose clarity.  You guys experiencing this?  Using a GeForce 2 with 32 mb mem video card.

May have to put my old 19inch standard monitor back on, though I lose 75% of my desktop with it.

Where's the Kaboom?

LCDs are like that generally.  fast motion is a bit blurred because the pixels can't transition from on to off quite as fast.  I think Samsung or some company recently made a significant improvement in this area though.
I imagine there is some variance depending on the manufacture.

Absolutely. The more you pay, generally, the less they blur.

Mentally unstable, best avoided.

There's also the "response time" isn't there? I seem to remember reading somewhere but I don't see it in your spec..

Java for games!

If you want to use a TFT monitor for games, you should get one with low response time. (response=rise+fall) For reasons, which are more difficult to explain, 20ms is often better than 16ms. Lowest is currently 12ms I think. You shouldn't buy a TFT with more than 25ms, if you want to use it for games often.

went back and got a 17 inch with 16ms.  The 19 turned out to be 25 ms.  Looks great but still not as sharp as my 19 inch crt
