Hey all, two Q's:

1) I follow the "BufferStrategy" link in the wiki and it leads to the Fullscreen tutorial. Do I have to use fullscreen mode to use BufferStrategy, or am I able to use it for windowed apps?

2) What's the best way to draw pixels from an array/calculated in code to the screen/buffer in real-time? I don't have to do this every frame, but I have to do it sometimes.

Not only can Buffer Stragtegy be used by Windowed apps, there is virtually no code difference.

I suspect you found Mike's article.  Read it.  Its abotua lot more then Fullscreen, the title is misleading.

Then for an example of an App that runs in either Windowed or FullScreen using BufferStrategy look at the Scroller demo.

For 2 it realyl depends on how often you are doign this.  If you use whatwe  sued to call "Automatic Images" and are now called "Managed Images" and draw into that its likley to do the right thing for you.  (Somewher around is my "Understanding AWt\T Image Types" article that explains how to get one of these.  Try googling for it)
