I've been fighting this for a while now.  All the mouse cursor images I am using seem to have some kind of blend or transparency issue.  If the bgcolor is not black and the foreground is not white, the color of the cursor at that pixel is shifted by the background color.  I thought perhaps I could turn off blending somewhere, but the cursor drawing seems to occur out of process.

Am I just not creating proper images or what?  I tried plugging in the "initNativeCursor" code from the HWCursorTest and that had the same problems (alternating verticle bands of the red gradient dissappear when the cursor is over a non-black bg.)

edit: i can't spell...

sorry, but there seems to be a bug in native code - we're investigating...

Thanks.  Nice to know that it might not be bad programming on my part for once.   Wink

I've done a ton of work today on the mouse cursor stuff, and in doing so found some bugs - though I didn't fix them yet. However for the mouse transparency bug. When you specify an alpha value of 0x00 ALWAYS specify 0x00 for RGB color bits too. That seems to fix it Smiley - anyway, check the HWCursorTest tomorrow when the cvs is up to date.
